Horseshoe Bay is the gateway to Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast, and the Sea-to-Sky Highway. It’s also one of the most inconvenient places on the North Shore for a tire shop run — the closest commercial bays are 20-30 minutes east, often with significant Upper Levels Highway traffic added on. If you live or work in Horseshoe Bay, mobile tire service is the obvious answer.
The Tire Valet covers Horseshoe Bay, Eagle Harbour, Whytecliff, Caulfeild, and the surrounding hillside communities with full mobile tire service — seasonal swaps, new tire installs, repairs, and rotations — all at your door.
Why Horseshoe Bay residents need mobile service
Horseshoe Bay is unique on the North Shore. You’re at the literal end of the line — beyond is just ferry terminals and the highway up to Whistler. The drive to any major tire chain is a real commitment, especially on summer weekends when ferry traffic spills back onto the highway. For locals, taking a half day to deal with tires is genuinely impractical.
We arrive at your home with everything needed for the job. Whether your vehicle is parked in a single-car heritage driveway off Bay Street or in a hillside garage off Marine Drive, we handle the work on-site. No trip up the Upper Levels, no ferry-traffic gauntlet.

Local notes — Horseshoe Bay specifics
- Ferry travel: Heading to Vancouver Island or the Sunshine Coast? Get your tires checked before you go. We can do a health check and (if needed) a swap the morning of your ferry. Book the day before.
- Sea-to-Sky: If you commute up the Sea-to-Sky for work or weekends, your tires take serious punishment from grit, salt, and steep grades. We recommend a rotation every 8,000 km and a tread check before each snow season.
- Steep driveways: Many Horseshoe Bay hillside homes have very steep driveways. We’ll find the flattest spot or work at the top — safety first. If the driveway is too steep, we’ll work at the street curb with cones.
- Hillside snow: Higher-elevation Horseshoe Bay homes get snow when downtown gets rain. Switching to winters in late October is smart up here.
- EV chargers: Several Horseshoe Bay homes have garage-mounted EV chargers. We work around them carefully and never block charging cables.
Hours & Emergency Service
Standard hours: Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Emergency service after hours and Sundays for flats and breakdowns — rates apply. If you’re stranded on the Sea-to-Sky pull-out and need a tire change, call us.
FAQ — Mobile Tire Service in Horseshoe Bay
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as your vehicle and tires are accessible, you can be at work, picking up the kids, or anywhere else. Many Horseshoe Bay customers leave us a key, garage code, or just the keys in the car.
How long does a tire swap take?
A typical seasonal swap takes 45 minutes to an hour. Off-rim mount-and-balance work takes a little longer (about 90 minutes for a full set). We work efficiently on-site with the same equipment a shop uses.
What if it’s raining?
We work year-round in West Coast weather. Mobile units are designed for it — a little rain doesn’t slow us down. For heavy snow or ice, we’ll reschedule.
Can you store my off-season tires?
Not currently. We recommend a dry, cool spot in your garage or storage locker, with tires stacked on rims or stood upright off-rim. Ask us about local tire storage options when we visit.
Do you do tire repairs on-site?
Yes. Most punctures can be patched in 30 minutes. Sidewall damage usually requires replacement — we’ll tell you straight what’s repairable and what isn’t.
