Local landmarks & common North Van service stops
We’re North Vancouver locals. We know that “8 AM in Lower Lonsdale” reads differently than “8 AM in Upper Lynn” — traffic, parking, even weather are completely different. Here’s where we work most often in North Van:
- Lower Lonsdale (LoLo): The Quay, Carrie Cates Court, and along Lonsdale Avenue down by Esplanade. We work in apartment visitor parking and street-side here regularly.
- Central Lonsdale: Between Keith Road and 21st Street. Lots of mid-rise condos here — we know which ones have surface visitor parking versus underground.
- Upper Lonsdale / Tempe Heights: Steeper driveways. We arrive early before street parking fills up.
- Westview & Hamilton Heights: Family neighbourhood off Hamilton Avenue. Easy access, wide driveways.
- Pemberton Heights: Tucked above Capilano Road. Tight cul-de-sacs but reachable for our service vehicle.
- Capilano Suspension Bridge area: If you live up Capilano Road, we cover you. Just budget extra time around tourist hours.
- Around Lonsdale Quay: If you commute by SeaBus from LoLo and your car sits in a condo stall all day, that’s a perfect time slot for us.
North Van parking & access notes
- Underground parking: If your stall is in a low-clearance garage (under 2.1m), we’ll work in surface visitor parking instead. Most North Van condos have at least one surface visitor stall.
- Snow days: Upper North Van (Tempe, Capilano Highlands) gets snow more often than the inlet. We’ll reschedule for safety in heavy snow.
- SeaBus commuters: Your car is parked all day at home — that’s our ideal window. Book between 9 AM and 3 PM.
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge extra to come to North Vancouver?
No. North Vancouver is our home patch — there is no travel fee anywhere in the city, from Lower Lonsdale up to Upper Lynn and out to Deep Cove.
How much is a seasonal tire swap in North Vancouver?
If your tires are already on rims, $120 plus tax, and it takes about half an hour. If they need mounting and balancing off the rims, $180 plus tax and around two hours.
Do I need to be home?
No. We need the vehicle accessible and your tires reachable — usually in the garage. Most of our customers are at work while we do the job.
What if I have nowhere to store my off-season tires?
We store them for $120 plus tax a season and bring the right set back when it is time to change over. It saves a corner of the garage and a trip.
How soon can you come out?
Often same day or next day for a repair. Seasonal swaps get busy in late October and again in April, so book ahead in those weeks if you can.
